Yesterday amid the day-long cloudy skies I spotted

A Tiny Patch of Blue

in the sky.

By the time I picked up my camera to photograph it, it had morphed into an even tinier patch of blue.

But it gave me pause to think about counting my blessings instead of complaining about the weather. And today, April first, I am feeling almost giddy to see blue skies all around.

If every day was sunny, bright, and beautiful, would I be so grateful for the sunny, bright, beautiful days?

Likewise, if my life had no difficulties, would I feel as grateful for when I encounter smooth sailing?

I believe that I feel more gratitude and joy because of my challenges.

How about you? Can you find a tiny patch of blue in the darkest times?

May you walk in beauty.

A very persistent squirrel. This little guy spent at least half an hour this morning trying every way he could think of to get food out of my bird feeders. In fact as I look out my window right now he’s at it again.
