We’re expecting a weather change soon with cold, precipitation (hopefully not the frozen kind), and wind. So on this sunny day I hope you

Have a Happy Friday

I had my Soma Yoga class on Zoom this morning. Here is what my light-filled yoga studio/living room looked like.

Aren’t we lucky that we can still do meetings and classes online during COVID!

I have been enjoying watching my amaryllis bulbs begin to grow. It’s fascinating to see the difference among the 3 bulbs. I planted all of them the same day. Yet one shot up and has a bud beginning to grow while another is just beginning to show the tips of its first leaves and one is still thinking about the whole growing thing. I imagine it asking itself, “Do I really want to grow or should I just sit here and think about it some more?”

Yesterday afternoon I was captivated by the sunlight shining in on my orchid plant’s flowers so that the petals of the flowers seemed to be glowing. My days are filled with ordinary miracles like sparkles on flower petals.

A Blessing

May you listen to your longing to be free.
May the frames of your belonging be large enough for the dreams of your soul.
May you arise each day with a voice of blessing whispering in your heart that something good is going to happen to you.
May you find a harmony between your soul and your life.
May the mansion of your soul never become a haunted place.
May you know the eternal longing which lives at the heart of time.
May there be kindness in your gaze when you look within.
May you never place walls between the light and yourself.
May your angel free you from the prisons of guilt, fear, disappointment, and despair.
May you allow the wild beauty of the invisible world to gather you, mind you, and embrace you in belonging.

  — John O’Donohue, Eternal Echoes

The day is passing by and if I don’t get out for my daily walk soon I might miss the sunshine, so I’ll sign off with the wish that you too are enjoying the sunshine today and having a Happy Friday.

May you walk in beauty.
