A few photographer friends and I choose a word every week or two and then create a photograph responding to the word.

Word as creative stimulus

While sometimes difficult, it has been a wonderful stimulus to stepping out of my comfort zone as a photographer. I’ve created images I never would have imagined and discovered much about my creative voice. It’s also taught me that it’s important to just “do the work” even when you feel like you don’t have anything to say. When I show up and commit to creating, I help grow my creativity.
