Quote of the day: “To be alive──is Power.” —Emily Dickinson, The Complete Poems

Apple Blossom Time

This morning I got up early and went to Lyndale Peace Garden in Minneapolis. What a wonderful place! I come back again and again to make photos here.  The park makes me feel like the poem below.

  “Inebriate of air am I,
And debauchee of dew,
Reeling, through endless summer days,
From inns of molten blue.”
                —Emily Dickinson

To be alive means being a part of the cycle of life and death. The two are inextricably intertwined. To me, celebrating life, means celebrating it all—the joy, the sorrow, the pain, the pleasure—the full catastrophe!
