A Quick Hello

The signs of fall are all around us — brightly colored leaves, birds migrating south, leaves falling, and colder temperatures. Isn’t it beautiful? I’m writing a short post for A Quick Hello today. Simple Gifts

Very often I find inspiration for my photography in the natural world. But sometimes an ordinary object that I’ve seen over and over again catches my eye. Those moments remind me that Simple Gifts surround us daily. It’s up to us to notice the beautiful and sacred wherever it shows up. A Feast for the Eyes

It seems that everywhere I look I see vivid colors across the landscape — reds, oranges, bright yellows, and still many shades of green. It’s a Feast for the Eyes! I believe that the seasonal changes that we have here in Minnesota, along with the many trees in our landscape, are food for my soul. Suddenly Sumac

I took a walk yesterday in a part of French Regional Park that I haven’t visited for awhile. I was too late to see the full slope of vividly orange/red sumac color that I’ve seen in past years. But there were plenty of sumac trees that were brilliantly lit and they were spectacular none-the-less. Suddenly Sumac Other colors were also appearing and I fell in love all over again with this beautiful world we live in. Welcome October

I’m back from my September break. It felt good to let go of blog writing for a period of time. But now it’s time to Welcome October The months fly by so quickly! Though I would like to cling to summer, it’s clear that fall is turning slowly towards peak color, leaves falling, and cooler temperatures. To complain about what is inevitable seems foolish.
