The Whole is Greater than the Sum of Its Parts

Quote of the day: “A miracle is when the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. A miracle is when one plus one equals a thousand.” ― Frederick Buechner, The Alphabet of Grace Where do you go to reconnect with yourself and God? I go the woods, always to the woods. The photos in the collage above are just a few of the miracles I saw today at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. Such beauty makes my heart sing. May your heart also sing with the wonder of spring.

Live in perpetual astonishment

Quote of the day: “Every spring is the only spring, a perpetual astonishment.” — Ellis Peters Every spring I am filled with amazement and wonder. It’s like I’ve never experienced spring before. Hafiz Researchers tell us that we humans aren’t very good at predicting what makes us happy. We think that more money, a Read more…

Relishing bright spring days

Quote of the day:  “May the raindrops fall lightly on your brow. May the soft winds freshen your spirit. May the sunshine brighten your heart. May the burdens of the day rest lightly upon you, and may God enfold you in the mantle of His love.” —Irish Blessing I’ve spent a good part of yesterday and today outside photographing spring flowers while feeling soft winds, gentle sunshine, and a peaceful mind. It is good to revel in the beauty of springtime and enjoy nature as it wakes up. I wish you gentle raindrops to nourish you, soft winds to blow in Read more…
