Tuesday Texture Play With Photoshop – The Joy of Experimenting

Quote of the day: “The most beautiful experience we can have is the mysterious – the fundamental emotion which stands at the cradle of true art and true science.” ― Albert Einstein, Albert Einstein Today’s theme for Kim Klassen’s Texture Tuesday is “Looking Up.” I chose two photos from my walk in the woods today to play with. The first was a plain view of maple leaves and blue sky. I was not happy with the photo and did not plan to use it. But it fit the theme of “looking up” so I decided to play around with adding a texture or two Read more…

A Walk in the Woods

Quote of the day: “In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks.”  — John Muir Today, I went out to my beloved Wolsfeld Woods for a walk in the woods. Little by little, altruism and benevolence will saturate your mind until it becomes second nature.” — Mattieu Ricard, Happiness: Read more…

Autumn

Ode to Autumn

Quote of the day: “May you experience each day as a sacred gift woven around the heart of wonder. ” ― John O’Donohue, Eternal Echoes: Celtic Reflections on Our Yearning to Belong The colors of autumn arrive and then fade so quickly. Wherever I am, I feel the need to soak up all the beauty and color and save it to nurture me during the coming winter. While spring always brings me a sense of expansion and promise, fall always brings bittersweet feelings—a treasuring of each day’s beauty and wonder and, at the same time, a sense of loss. Today I’m sharing some of my Read more…
