Today I’m sharing a short post to share photos of my first hand-made book. I finished the sample book project that I began earlier this week. It is

Perfectly Imperfect,

like all of life.

The most important thing about art is to work. Nothing else matters except sitting down every day and trying.”
Steven Pressfield, The War of Art: Winning the Inner Creative Battle

The perfection for me is that I overcame my fear of failure and overwhelm at doing something that looked so hard, and I did it. The imperfections are easy to see. But since I made this book only for learning I consider it a perfect success — because I learned so much!

The opposite of fear is love – love of the challenge, love of the work, the pure joyous passion to take a shot at our dream and see if we can pull it off.”
Steven Pressfield, Do the Work

I have so many ideas now about other experiments I want to try before actually beginning to create my handmade photo/essay book. But now that I’ve begun and faced a few fears it’s easier to proceed.

Wishing you a creative day.

May you walk in beauty.
