This morning I began my day watching a video called
Blessings
In it, David Whyte recites his Blessing poems through a visual journey across the Irish landscape. I found the photography in this video stunningly beautiful and the poems spoke to my heart. So I’m sharing the video with you today in hopes that it will also brighten your day.
BLESSING FOR THE LIGHT
I thank you, light, again,
for helping me to find
the outline of my daughter’s face,
I thank you light,
for the subtle way
your merest touch gives shape
to such things I could
only learn to love
through your delicate instruction,
and I thank you, this morning
waking again,
most intimately and secretly
for your visible invisibility,
the way you make me look
at the face of the world
so that everything becomes
an eye to everything else
and so that strangely,
I also see myself being seen,
so that I can be born again
in that sight, so that
I can have this one other way
along with every other way,
to know that I am here.— David Whyte
What blessings are you grateful for today?
Wishing you blessings of sound and light today and always.
May you walk in beauty.

It was lovely to watch this rather ruggedly handsome man wandering very purposefully to ear catching music across a vast and equally rugged and handsome landscape while speaking words that were so gentle and loving in their simplistic wisdom. I could feel the moment and it was grand! Thank you!❤️
