Right now it is snowing and blowing outside. And it’s supposed  to be snowing and blowing all day today. So I decided to make today

Pajama Day!

I pulled my warm fleece snowflake pajamas out of the drawer for the first time this year. And I am happily wearing my pajamas while playing with my camera and staying indoors as the snow flies outside my windows.

“Some days you live in pajamas, and your hair kind-of has that Albert Einstein look.”
A.D. Posey, Coffee Chatter

A blurry mirror image of me in my pajamas, but I like the blur

If you’ve been reading anything online today you probably also heard today being called “Twos-day” because it’s 2/22/22. Though I don’t pay a lot of attention to the numerology connotations of the day, I am delighted to notice the synchronicity of it being “Twos-day” on a Tuesday.

As I look out my office window right now the falling snow appears to be moving horizontally through the air because of the wind. It’s a good day to stay warm and dry at home if you can.

The snow
began here
this morning and all day
continued, its white
rhetoric everywhere
calling us back to why, how,
whence such beauty and what
the meaning; such
an oracular fever! flowing
past windows, an energy it seemed
would never ebb, never settle
less than lovely! and only now,
deep into night,
it has finally ended…

To all of you workers out in the world today who are braving the wind, cold, and snow, to get to work or as a part of your work, I’m sending you a big THANK YOU! You keep the rest of us safe, fed, cared for, and more.

More flowers please

I’ve begun working on photographing a bouquet of alstroemeria flowers that I picked up yesterday. Every time I walk out to my dining room studio and see them, I smile.

I know that I will enjoy photographing them for several days this week and also simply bask in their cheerful presence. For sure, you’ll be seeing more of these beauties as the rest of the week unfolds and I continue exploring their delicate beauty.

What are you doing this blustery cold snowy day my friends? Are you also enjoying a pajama day?

May you walk in beauty.
