This was a perfect morning for making photographs of the pond from my living room windows. With the bright reflections in the pond and leaves floating on the pond’s surface I saw a series of

Autumn Abstracts

in my mind’s eye.

Summer ends, and Autumn comes, and he who would have it otherwise would have high tide always and a full moon every night.

Though the weather is cooler and yesterday I needed to wear a jacket, gloves and hat for my walk in the woods, I love this beautiful time of year.

I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.

Before I began making photographs this morning I finished a watercolor painting that I started yesterday. I have begun re-visiting an online landscape painting watercolor class that I took more than a year ago and never finished. The more I paint the more I want to work on my technique and improve rather than simply splash paint about with no end in mind.

Just as I am, it is a work in progress. But I celebrate each little victory along the way.

What are you working on this beautiful week my friends? Is there some creative project that is calling to you?

May you walk in beauty.
