Yesterday evening I was sitting in my chair in the living room working on Duolingo French language exercises when Jon said, “Have you noticed the stunning sunset?” No, I had not noticed the sunset, because my eyes and attention were glued to the  Duolingo app on my phone.

“Every moment of light and dark is a miracle.”
Walt Whitman

I grabbed my camera and went out on the deck, barefoot, in my nightgown, to make a few photos of the

Stunning Sunset

It was a great reminder to me to pay attention to the world around me. I would much rather gaze at a beautiful sunset sky than gaze at an application on my iPhone.

“And as to me, I know nothing else but miracles”
Walt Whitman, Leaves of Grass

There are ordinary miracles in every day waiting for us to notice them and celebrate them.

“Do anything, but let it produce joy.”
Walt Whitman, Leaves of Grass

Did you see the stunning sunset last night too?

May you walk in beauty.

And the view to the east was lovely also

Beautiful! Yesterday a former neighbor and I went walking in her favorite place, Fort Snelling Park! It was magnificent! It energized me and reminded me that I need to find more time to do this walking in nature before it gets too cold! 😉

Yes, soak in all the nature you can as it will be a long winter ahead.
