Taken with my phone on my walk in the neighborhood this morning
This morning I took my walk at 8 AM and it was already hot and steamy. Wow! The next few days are going to be hot and humid ones here in Minneapolis.
How are you staying cool? I am feeling very grateful for air conditioning this week and I’m not spending a lot of time hanging out on the deck swing because
It’s too darn hot!
My container garden loves this heat though, so long as I give it plenty of water. Yesterday I picked these sugar snap peas from my container garden:
My new Earth Box container garden boxes have a round tube inserted in one of the corners to fill the water reservoir at the bottom of the box. A tiny frog has taken up residence in one of the watering tubes creating a watering dilemma for me—do I use the watering tube with the garden hose and wash the tiny frog down into the water reservoir underneath the soil or do I use other means to water the plants in that box? The rain last weekend solved my dilemma for a few days but today I have to decide what I will do. Actually, I already know what I will do—if the frog is still in the watering tube today I’ll water the box through the soil instead of filling the reservoir underneath.
If this is my biggest problem this week, then I am very blessed indeed!
Yesterday I was going through my photo catalog and deleting some older duplicate or uninteresting images and I found this funny picture of our grandchildren. Notice our grandson’s eye roll and his sister’s clear delight. That pretty much sums them up much of the time. This time at home without seeing friends has been hard for them.

Last week our granddaughter was giving us a violin concert. We became engrossed in conversation while she was getting everything ready and weren’t paying attention. She started to play and when we still didn’t stop talking she lifted her violin bow in the air and said in a stern voice, “Listen up people!”

Absolutely too hot! If I didn’t know better I would say that sweating is my primary activity these past few days! Stay cool! 👍
