Found this smashed hydrangea flower on the street and it looked like a heart to me. Sending love to everyone!

I know aloe is not helpful for our current situation but I think we can all be a kind of First Aid for those who need help, even if it’s only by making a phone call.

Signs of Hope and Beauty

I thought I would share a few signs of hope and beauty and some beautiful words by my favorite poet today. How are you doing my friends? Our kids are buying groceries for us as they have asked us not to risk going out to the grocery store. It feels good to know that they care so much about us but it is a jarring reminder of the fact that we are getting older. I’m working on appreciating their caring actions and allowing myself to feel some sadness at the same time.

Love, love, love, says Percy.
And hurry as fast as you can
along the shining beach, or the rubble, or the dust.

Then, go to sleep.
Give up your body heat, your beating heart.
Then, trust.

“I Ask Percy How I Should Live My Life” by Mary Oliver, via Red Bird: Poems, Beacon Press.

Gracie is not a dog, I know but she agrees with Percy.

Have a lovely day everyone wherever you are. Try not to worry too much. And smile!

May you walk in beauty

Hydrangea in our front yard is still beautiful

Part of the pond down the hill from our house is thawed and two geese are enjoying it’s water.

Green seen in our back yard.

The last of the snow is almost gone! I’m beginning to think about what I will grow in my container garden this year.

Simple beauty

Yes, I do too. I”m out looking every day for another sign of spring and hoping that it starts hurrying up.
