December Reflections 2018

Wow! I made it to the half-way point of December, posting every day so far in December Reflections 2018. Not bad… I gave myself permission to take days off here and there and to not post if it was no longer fun. Today I almost skipped posting but as I looked out the window and saw these kids playing hockey on the pond behind the house I couldn’t resist photographing them. It’s just past sunset (the sun sets so early this time of year) and the mild temperatures make it inviting to head outdoors for some activity. After weeks of below normal temperatures. I am enjoying basking in above normal temperatures for a few days. I’m also loving the sunshine after days of cloudy skies and foggy mornings.

The view from our living room and back bathroom windows of the backyard, pond and neighborhood always brings me joy. No matter the season I find beauty and a reason to be grateful. This place where we live is my sanctuary and it nourishes my soul.

The prompt for day 16 of December Reflections 2018 is Best Day of 2018.

My answer is, “Today! This very moment! Every moment, every day.”

There is no other moment than the present moment. When I stay focused on being grateful and choosing joy each moment is a good moment.

May you walk in beauty. May every moment be your best moment.
