Trumpeter Swans on the St. Croix river in winter

What are you obsessed with?

I am obsessed with seeing and photographing beauty. I fell in love with it sometime in my fifth decade and continue to find that photography brings me great joy on a daily basis. There is always something new to learn, something more to express and more beauty to see and share.

My love for photography gets me out to explore the world and has taught me to see beauty everywhere I go. Trees, trumpeter swans, bald eagles, loons, sandhill cranes, and spring wildflowers all give me a thrill of wonder and fill my heart with gladness when I see them. There is so much beauty in this world to see.

Here are a few of my favorite photographs.

May you walk in beauty.

Sandhill Cranes take to the air near Kearney, Nebraska in their annual spring migration. Seeing and hearing so many birds is breathtaking.

I love them all, but especially the crane.

Thanks Kathy. It was a fun photo to take. The crane was so calm as I stealthily followed it along the gravel road.
