Quote of the day: “Presents are made for the pleasure of who gives them, not the merits of who receives them.” ― Carlos Ruiz Zafón, The Shadow of the Wind
Birthdays are made to be celebrated. This year I’ve decided to celebrate my birthday by giving away a free 8×10 print of one of my photos.
This September is also the second anniversary of opening Chased by Beauty and that gives me even more reason to celebrate!
Hop on over to my Etsy shop (HERE) and pick out your favorite photo. (Note that some of the photos in my Etsy shop will need to be cropped to achieve the 8×10 size.) If your favorite photo is a square photo it will be printed as an 8×8.
Then stop back here, leave a comment, and tell me which photo is your favorite. Or stop by my Facebook page and leave a comment there. While you’re there, “Like” my Facebook page, if you haven’t already. I hope to do more give-aways every few months.
You have a week to leave a comment on this blog post or on my facebook page.
Next Monday, Sept. 23 I’ll randomly pick two of the commenters to receive a free 8×10 fine art print of their favorite photo.
Thanks to all of my Etsy customers and local customers who enjoy my photographs. It is such a joy to share the beauty I see with all of you.

Asking me to pick a “favorite” ONE of your work is like asking me to move Mt. Everest! Not possible. However, to join in the fun I want to list my few “favorites” of many that I like for various reasons: the lamp in winter snow (because it reminds me of Narnia); the statue at the Conservatory (because I love the contrast between the metal lights and the flowers and the water); the tulips in a vase (because I love the droop of tulip stems when they’re in a vase); the road in autumn (because roads always make me feel the possibility of stepping out on a journey–which we’re all on anyway); the moon at night (the closer-up view, because it is so enormous and when I see a moon like that it pulls me toward space and adventure); the pink poppies in the field (because poppies always make me slightly sad and nostalgic, thinking of my first awakening to the tragedy of lives lost in war–I think of the poem On Flanders’ Fields, about WWI); and the abstract of the trees reflecting on water during a rain (because I love the peace of a rainy day, and I love the way the light is reflecting and broken by the rain drops).
Finally, I want to CONGRATULATE you on your photography and business, and wish you all the very BEST of life and HAPPY BIRTHDAY, dear friend! It has been a delight to be on the road with you! Love and many blessings!
