Quote of the day: ““Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift of God, which is why we call it the present.”

What Remains of the Rain

Signs of Spring I Saw Today

  1. Rain! Yes, rain, NOT SNOW, is falling in Minneapolis today. (It may turn to snow later, but right now, this minute, it’s rain!)
  2. The Minnesota shuffle (you know, when you’re not sure how slippery it is underfoot, so you shuffle your feet along the ground to keep from slipping on the ice)
  3. Buds on a tree in the neighborhood
  4. Green grass peeking through the snow
  5. Drooping snowman
  6. Slushy, mushy, melting snow

What brought me Joy This Morning

  1. Colors – yes COLORS – Usually I see this time of year as grey and white, but today I noticed bright spots of color all around me. Oh JOY!
  2. Wearing my sweet and ever-loving husband’s hat on my photo walk
  3. Doing the Minnesota shuffle (see #2 above)
  4. Wonderful droopy snowman – feels like a prayer, like bowing down and giving thanks
  5. Thinking about how amazing the life force is
