Double Exposure – Basking on the Deck/Bare Tree Branches

Yesterday I sat in the sun on the deck in my shirt sleeves. Today I sit in the sun on the deck in my shirt sleeves again. What a wonderful stretch of weather!

It feels really weird basking in the brief late November sun here in Minnesota. This time of year is usually not so kind to us. I am especially grateful for the mild weather as I prepare for my winter walk-about in Hawaii.

Perhaps because I am looking forward to the warm weather of Hawaii for the next 3 months, I am more reluctant than ever for winter to arrive. So the past week has been such a treat. Long walks by the lake, opening the windows to air out the house, sunshine for days, sitting outside on the deck. Ordinary miracles that fill me with joy. I am full of gratitude for simple things like sunshine on a late November day.

What are you grateful for?
