Quote of the day: “As a single footstep will not make a path on the earth, so a single thought will not make a pathway in the mind. To make a deep physical path, we walk again and again. To make a deep mental path, we must think over and over the kind of thoughts we wish to dominate our lives.” — Henry David Thoreau

I made this photo on a bright spring day. I don’t know who the walker is but loved her sassy boots walking on the path.

Each day we have a choice. Do we walk the path that everyone else is walking, or do we strike out in a new direction, following our heart to an unknown destination? In my life I have done both.

In some ways the well-worn path is easier, but it is much less satisfying in the long run. I have learned that creating my own path through the uncharted wilderness of my heart is much more satisfying and enduring.

How about you? What uncharted paths is your heart longing to lead you to make? What dream is calling you? Why not take 1 step towards creating that dream today.
