Quote of the day: “Love like rain, can nourish from above, drenching couples with a soaking joy. But sometimes under the angry heat of life, love dries on the surface and must nourish from below, tending to its roots keeping itself alive.” —Paulo Coelho, By the River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept

Rain-soaked Lettuce

After three days of 90 degree weather, a storm moved through our area last night and brought rain and coolness. Parts of the Twin Cities suffered hail, wind, and lightning damage. We were fortunate to get only the much needed rain and cooler air.

I woke up to a rain-drenched green-filled world. When I looked out the window, the drops of rain were glistening in the morning sunlight on my little garden. The beauty of it all lured me outside to make photographs. Ahhh…

Whether nourishment comes from above like rain, or from sources deep beneath the surface, we all need love and rain. Photography and creating nourish me like rain. What nourishes you?
