Quote of the day: “Being thankful for and celebrating what is, attracts more of what can and will be.”

Yesterday I received my 100th Etsy order!

I’m Celebrating!

Everything in my Etsy shop is 20% off from now until the end of April for anyone who uses the coupon code CELEBRATE100 on their order.

Almost three years ago I decided to follow my passion and take up photography instead of looking for another software engineering job. Little did I know where that journey would take me, or how much I had to learn about photography, being an artist, and choosing happiness and a simple life over “success” as I previously defined it.

I still have much to learn and I am grateful for so much help along the way! If I had any idea of how much there was to learn when I boldly declared that I was going to start my own photography business, I never would have had the courage to start.

Here’s to starting before you have everything “figured out!”

Here is one of my latest additions to my shop, a trio of fern prints from photos made at the Como Conservatory in Saint Paul, MN.  I loved how the emerging fronds on this fern were orange-red and yellow but the mature leaves were green.  The different stages of emergence look so graceful and other-worldly to me.

It is so rewarding to be able to share images that show you the beauty I see in this world. I am hopeful that just looking at them brings a little lift to your day and a smile to your face.
