Late in the winter of 2017 I spent 3 months living and photographing the north woods. I took my camera into the woods looking for nature’s offerings and creating images that seemed like Wild Altars to me. I experience a sense of the sacred in nature, especially in forests and woods. Often the tiny vignettes of beauty found “hiding” in plain sight bring me the greatest joy. These images are an expression of my belief that beauty is everywhere only waiting to be found.
