Imagination

Yesterday while finishing up preparation for the painters’ arrival today to paint the downstairs ceiling and bedroom, I made a few photos of a hummingbird through my kitchen window. And I also photographed the flowers of a pretty little begonia plant. The photos didn’t look like much to me when I first downloaded them to my computer, especially the somewhat blurry hummingbird photos. But with the help of Imagination I transformed them and added them to my collection of photos featuring Mary Oliver quotes. Later this week I plan to print a few of them and see how they look Read more…

Sail Away

Happy Labor Day my friends! What a string of gorgeous days we’ve been having. Doesn’t it just make you want to Sail Away to somewhere beautiful? I have an idea and then I begin trying to express that idea through my photography. Often I fail again and again to express Read more…

Sunset Serenade

I love the light just before and after sunset just as I love the early morning light just before and after sunrise. But getting out to actually make photographs at that time of day has always been hard for me. Every once in a while I make a commitment to myself that today is the day that I will make that extra effort. Tuesday evening was the day I kept my commitment to head out for the sunset, even though I was sore and tired at the end of the day. I was rewarded with a Sunset Serenade The colors, Read more…
