Twilight Walk

Last evening I took a Twilight Walk in the neighborhood. So today I thought I would take you along on my walk to see some of what I saw in the fading light. Walking up the hill in the park next to my house I saw bushes with a few red and gold leaves beginning to show. There were worn and torn, and probably had provided food for one or more insects over the summer months. The lights on the deck railing of a house beside the path glow in the twilight. The Lamps Eight o’clock, no later, You light Read more…

Summer’s End

It’s beginning to look and feel a bit like Summer’s End though I am soaking in every moment of these bright balmy days that I can. The leaves no longer look fresh and new. Begin Where You Are Look around. What do you notice? Think about the blessings in your life. Can you name three without thinking? If not, can you name one? Last night it rained. And today it looks like it may rain again. Read more…

Late Summer Grace

I began my morning walk on a path that I often follow, the one that is catty-corner across the street from our house. The path goes down a steep hill and then beside a pond and through the trees for about half a mile. With today’s humidity I welcomed the shade above my head. As I walked under the trees’ shady boughs I gave thanks for Late Summer Grace The magic of this simple path never ceases to astonish me. Birds, wildflowers, ducks in the pond, squirrels scampering, and the grace of trees surround me. The path borders many shady Read more…
