Snowstorm Distractions

The first of the two big episodes of snow that are predicted this week has arrived and gone. It left about seven inches of fluffy new snow behind. We are in the lull between storms right now. No snow is falling but I expect it to begin again soon. So I’m sharing some Snowstorm Distractions today — podcasts, poems, and other inspiration that have moved me recently. My first distraction (for both mind and soul) is the latest OnBeing episode, with Krista Tippet interviewing poet Ada Limón. What a refreshing conversation! I didn’t want it to end. And now this. The past few sunny mild days have brought a feeling of elation to my heart. I can feel hope bubble up that this strange winter Read more…

Art that matters, touches and moves people, It Begins in the Heart. I photograph what has heart and meaning to me. We are all artists in one way or another, creating and weaving a life of meaning. And I believe that the more that we listen to our hearts, the more we create art that can touch others in their hearts. Also, the more that we listen to our own hearts, Read more…
