Earth Week

Saturday was Earth Day and I missed celebrating it because of a tiny little virus that caused me to catch a common cold. But I’m finally feeling almost back to normal and wanted to continue the Earth Day celebration. So I decided to think of this week as Earth Week The first Earth Day was celebrated in 1970. I was in high school then and I’m sorry to say that I don’t remember that Earth Day. It makes me sad to think how we could have changed the world if we had started really caring for the earth back then Read more…

Heart Song

I was looking through old photos this week while taking it easy because I’ve had an old-fashioned sore throat, blowing, sneezing not feeling well cold. It’s been over three years since I’ve had a cold like this. And while it has not been my favorite week, I am content, despite how crappy I feel. Rainy Day Diversion

I had forgotten How Much Joy I felt listening to live music. It was a vivid reminder to me to actively plan to do things which bring me joy in my life. I thought I was choosing joy often. And I was, sort of. But the Read more…

A Blip in Spring?

How quickly nature turns from summer back to spring back to winter! Is this (as I hope) just A Blip in Spring? Remember this photo from yesterday’s blog post where everything was greening? It looks quite different this morning. But it is beautiful, none the less. And remember my spring melt series that I thought I was done with? The backyard is covered with white again. But I noticed that I can still see the tips of the growing grass through the snow this morning. Though I am disappointed in this slight detour away from spring I am also allowing Read more…
