Friday’s Fabulous Bliss List

Quote of the day: Gratitude helps you to grow and expand; gratitude brings joy and laughter into your life and into the lives of all those around you. — Eileen Caddy It’s Friday so it must be bliss list day. Here is my list for this week: I created a set of gratitude cards (45 in all) with tiny photos and words that express what I’m grateful for. They replace my hand-written gratitude cards in my gratitude bowl. I had such fun creating these that I’m going to make them available for download from my website soon. What does your heart want?

Quote of the day: “Refuse to abandon your essential self, the way a great captain refuses to abandon his ship.” —Martha Beck, Finding Your Own North Start: claiming the life you were meant to live There are many messages all around us about what we should look like, how we should live, what stuff we should fill our lives with, it’s hard to tune in and listen to what our own bodies and hearts really want and need. “Play until you feel like resting and rest until you feel like playing” – Martha Beck

Quote of the day: “Creativity can be described as letting go of certainties.” —Gail Sheehy I have entered a new territory where I’ve never been before. I’ve done my time as a cog in the machine. Now, instead of working in the field of the rational, Read more…

The Whole is Greater than the Sum of Its Parts

Quote of the day: “A miracle is when the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. A miracle is when one plus one equals a thousand.” ― Frederick Buechner, The Alphabet of Grace Where do you go to reconnect with yourself and God? I go the woods, always to the woods. The photos in the collage above are just a few of the miracles I saw today at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. Such beauty makes my heart sing. May your heart also sing with the wonder of spring.

Live in perpetual astonishment

Quote of the day: “Every spring is the only spring, a perpetual astonishment.” — Ellis Peters Every spring I am filled with amazement and wonder. It’s like I’ve never experienced spring before. Every walk becomes an exercise in wonder and joy. The greens of spring appear bright and shiny, reminding me of life’s renewal and abundance. All of the photos in the collage above were taken during a single 15 minute walk in my neighborhood. Isn’t life grand?
