Wholehearted Bliss List

Quote of the day: “Wholeheartedness is a precious gift, but no one can actually give it to you. You have to find the path that has heart and then walk it impeccably….It’s like someone laughing in your ear, challenging you to figure out what to do when you don’t know what to do. It humbles you. Liberate Your Art 2012

Quote of the day: “Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.” ― Pablo Picasso This August I participated in Kat Sloma’s Liberate Your Art 2012 Postcard Swap. I thought, “What a lovely idea!” She completed the painting recently and posted a photo of it on my Facebook timeline. I love her painting. It expresses her creativity and unique point of view. I love my original photo too. It Read more…

The Art of Seeing – Week 14 – Sky and Clouds as Metaphor

Quote of the day: “You are the sky. Everything else – it’s just the weather.” ― Pema Chödrön This week for The Art of Seeing, I’ve been working on another one of Doug Beasley‘s wonderful Vision Quest Cards: Photo Assignments For Personal & Spiritual Growth for my photography self-study/challenge assignment. For this assignment I drew the card, “Photograph the sky and/or clouds as a metaphor for a mood or feeling. Title each image with that feeling. This was a fun assignment for me as I often photograph the sky. I love the way that the light and the clouds create different feelings. I went out and Read more…
