Though the day started out bright and sunny this morning, by the time I got to the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, thin clouds had appeared in the skies and the wind also arrived. Still I enjoyed
Earth Day at the Arb
and I revisited familiar places always trying to look with new eyes.
Though we can already see some effects of climate change I keep believing that what each one of us does can make a difference.
You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.

I’ve been making an effort to use less plastic, eat more plant-based foods, minimize food waste and more. These are small things to be sure. And the more that I focus on making choices that are kinder to the earth the easier it gets. Though my efforts may seem small, add every person’s small positive changes together and they’re not so small anymore.
Each one of us matters, has a role to play, and makes a difference. Each one of us must take responsibility for our own lives, and above all, show respect and love for living things around us, especially each other.
― Reason for Hope: A Spiritual Journey
The thing that gives me a sense of hope is that I see and hear more and more people making similar choices in their lives. Today is a day to celebrate the earth and all of its amazing beauty.
Happy Earth Day my friends. What kind of difference will you choose to make today?
May you walk in beauty.
