Yesterday we enjoyed 47 degree temperatures and walked outside in sunshine underneath bright blue skies. Today we awakened to

A Snow Globe Morning

One of the good things about snowstorms this time of year is that the snow usually doesn’t last long. Another good thing about them is their beauty. Spring snowstorms are usually stunningly beautiful. Though I am still holding out hopes of an early spring (I hope for early springs every year!) I know that we haven’t seen the last of the snow yet. So this morning I simply soaked in all the beauty and gave thanks that the first day of March is tomorrow.

Early Spring
Harshness vanished. A sudden softness
has replaced the meadows’ wintry grey.
Little rivulets of water changed
their singing accents. Tendernesses, hesitantly, reach toward the earth
from space, and country lanes are showing
these unexpected subtle risings
that find expression in the empty trees.
— Rainer Maria Rilke
Translated by Albert Ernest Flemming

The sun is shining again already and I can see blue sky above. This snow will be gone before we know it.

 May you walk in beauty.
