This is how I felt while I was hiking in Wolsfeld Woods yesterday…
Wonderful Wonderful
As in full of wonder, astonished, awed, delighted, filled with joy! It was a golden cathedral and I was worshiping the only way I know how — through experiencing wonder, gratitude, and joy.
Instructions for living a life:
Pay attention.
Be astonished.
Tell about it.— Mary Oliver
I hope that you too find something during this season that makes you gasp with delight and tempts you to dance as if no one is watching. This place under the tall old sugar maples, basswood, and oak trees is my special place, the home of my soul.
“I think us here to wonder, myself. To wonder. To ask. And that in wondering bout the big things and asking bout the big things, you learn about the little ones, almost by accident. But you never know nothing more about the big things than you start out with. The more I wonder, the more I love.”
― The Color Purple
What is your special place where you feel most at home? What makes you feel wonder?
Here is a short slide show I created from photos of the treetops I made yesterday set to Enya’s Memory of Trees. Hope you enjoy it.
