A Riot of Rainbow Colors

I found these lovely orchids at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum Conservatory today. Perhaps there is not every color in the rainbow, but almost! It was lovely inside and out today.

The maple trees are still being tapped and the sugar house was making maple syrup today. I got to see the process and talk with the guy who was tending it. Turns out that our cool spring made for a poor maple syrup season. The weather was too cold for the sap to run well. The guy I talked with said that yesterday was the first day that it really ran well and that he expected it to last through the weekend.

I saw a few signs of spring in the gardens though most were covered with snow. The Japanese garden always draws me in, even when it’s mostly covered with snow.

It was simply glorious to be walking outside in the sunshine today.

Here are some photos from the day.

May you walk in beauty
