It’s April 14 and this is what it looks like outside my window. I’m pretending it’s the middle of February and I’m looking forward to a weekend of being snowed in. Soon enough spring will appear. Or maybe not. Perhaps we’ll skip spring this year and jump straight to summer.
Whatever the external weather brings I work to control my inner weather by accepting what is and finding ways to be grateful for my life however it looks. Some days that’s easier than others.
Here’s what I know for sure. I live in Minnesota. Sometimes spring comes late here. It’s been a record cold April in Minneapolis.
This too shall pass
And eventually it will be green again outside with flowers blooming. I will treasure those days even more having waited through this long cold winter. No matter what the weather outside I carry spring in my heart, dreaming of the sounds, scents, and sights of spring.
May you walk in beauty.
