A Circle of Friends
Today I am honoring my friendship group as a bright light in my life. With them, I play, move, laugh, cry, and learn. We are a bunch of older women who are not afraid to get silly, dance, and play. We also listen to and support one another, laugh and cry together (though there is far more laughter than tears).
A circle of women may be the most powerful force known to humanity. If you have one, embrace it. If you need one, seek it. If you find one, for the love of all that is good and holy dive in. Hold on. Love it up. Get Naked. Let them see you. Let them hold you. Let your reluctant tears fall. Let yourself rise fierce and love gentle. You will be changed. The very fabric of your being will be altered by this if you allow it. Please, please allow it. — Jeanette LeBlanc on www.peacelovefree.com
I like to think that we follow Brené Brown’s guidepost for wholehearted living in our group:
Gathering an intentional circle of friends and spending quality time with them frequently is one small way that we can begin to change the ourselves and the world.
Laughter, play, and connection are essential parts of life. Make time for them. Find or create a circle of friends.
May you walk in beauty.
