These hot sultry summer days are lush and dripping with life. Today at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum I could almost feel the plants growing and maturing, anxious to set seeds and reproduce while the warm weather is still here.

The woods are lush and green, with deep shade and lush greens of all shades. The dappled light that filters through the leaves creates layers of light. And the leaves are so thick that the breeze can hardly be felt.
The prairie is in bloom and buzzing with butterflies, moths, bees, and dragonflies in abundance. If you want to be struck with wonder and beauty, take a walk in the restored prairie at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. With grasses and plants waist to shoulder height, you are surrounded by a sea of life.

I spent most of my day at the arboretum soaking in the wonder and beauty and playing with my camera, looking at light patterns, camera blur, and movement. Here are some photos from my explorations today.
