Quote of the day: “When we love, we always strive to become better than we are. When we strive to become better than we are, everything around us becomes better too.”
― Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist
We’re home after a visit to our daughter, son-in-law, and grandkids in the Kansas City area. I had such fun playing with 6-year-old Marcus and 4-year-old Evie. They are full of energy, giggles, hugs, tickles, and contagious joy. One of the joys of being a grandparent is having the time to tune in and listen intently and just be with my grandkids.
I was hoping that we might see some warmer weather over the weekend with the kids (they had at least one 80 degree day last week), but no such luck. There was a bit of snow on the ground and some freezing rain when we arrived. And we left a bit earlier than we had planned because of a big snowstorm that was expected to dump 6-10 inches of snow on the Kansas City area.
On the way home with the sunshine and blue skies, it felt a bit like spring in the air, even with the snow-covered ground in Minnesota.
