Quote of the day: “Consider the difference between the first and third person in poetry […] It’s like the difference between looking at a person and looking through their eyes.”

Spring Photo Journal

Looking at new snow through my dirty kitchen window

It snowed last night in Minneapolis and again this morning. I am safe and warm, inside my cozy house, looking out at the bright white world. No sense wishing for spring to hurry up and arrive. The weather is what it is.

Everything is perfect…

As I get older I believe more and more that everything is perfect.  Everything that happens, no matter how it seems at the time, is simply perfect.

Fear and worry drop away when I hold this thought. Frustration and anxiety release their hold on me and I feel myself expand with big, deep breaths. Ah…no need to hold  on to what I want to have happen if whatever happens is perfect.
