Quote of the day: “Art is an evolutionary act. The shape of art and its role in society is constantly changing. At no point is art static. There are no rules.”

Hawaii Graffiti

On one of the last days I spent in Hawaii this winter, a friend and I went exploring in an area that was once a fancy resort area, but now many of the buildings are vacant and graffiti is the only art in view.

As we wandered through the deserted buildings, there was a full wall of graffiti and none of it contained profanity or symbols of violence.

My friend laughed and said, “This is one of the things I love about living in Hawaii. Even the graffiti is about love! Look, there’s no profanity to be seen.”

Wow! Pretty cool. Here are some photos of that graffiti to brighten your day.
