Quote of the day: “Green is the prime color of the world, and that from which its loveliness arises.” — Pedro Calderon de la Barca

Verdant green along Minnehaha Creek at Big Willow Park, Minnetonka, MN

As spring turns slowly into summer, we’ve been having rain and more rain in Minnesota for the past 2 weeks. The woods and marshes and gardens are glowing with amazing, wondrous, vibrant greens! Everywhere I look, bright green. Sometimes it’s almost as if the air carries a slight tint of green, no doubt reflected off of the amazing greens growing all around.

I adore hiking in the woods through a haze of green. I can feel the bright energy of growth all around me as I breathe in the scents and sights and sounds of the plants and trees.

Here are some shots of the amazing greens from my walks in the woods this week.
