Quote of the day: “All things by immortal power. Near of far, to each other linked are, that thou canst not stir a flower without troubling of a star.” —Francis Thompson
Yesterday was one of those overcast days with sprinkles of rain off and on. I love photographing flowers and nature on days like that because the colors are so dramatic and vivid. In between rain showers I went out side to photograph my clematis and peonies. Ahhhh…so lovely, so soft, so vivid!
We have a goose family in the pond behind our house. I was able to capture a few photos of them (though they’re not very good). This is the first time in all the years we’ve lived here that we have had goslings on the pond. Late yesterday afternoon when the sun was peeking out from behind the clouds, we had turtles on the log, geese at the edge of the pond, and a lone mallard duck swimming around them. What joy! I love the sounds and sights of nature in and around the pond. Saturday morning I got to see a wonderful great blue heron standing by the side of the pond. What a gift!
Ordinary miracles show up all around you when you look for them. What miracles are waiting for you today?
