Quote of the day: ” ‘You are late,’ he said. ‘I have been expecting you forever.’ ” ~ William Kent Krueger Northwest Angle
I’ve been reading the latest book by one of my favorite authors, William Kent Krueger. Krueger writes novels that are part mystery, part thriller, with a deft touch of humanity and wisdom sprinkled throughout. His books are set in Northern Minnesota, especially the Boundary Waters area, one of my favorite places on earth.
Yesterday, when I read the quote above, I got goosebumps. It felt like I was hearing my soul speaking. Odd, I know, but I find wisdom and truth in the oddest places. I do feel as if I’ve come home to myself and my soul in recent months and I can imagine that part of me that knows who I am better than my conscious self, saying, “You’re late. I have been expecting you forever,” full of love and patience and trust that I would find my way home eventually.
What would your soul say to you today?

Ah, yes. That’s another one my soul could say as well.
