Quote of the day: “He who laughs at himself never runs out of things to laugh at.”  ~Epictetus

Laughing face

These days I laugh a lot more than I used to. And I find myself laughing at myself as often as anything else. Laughter is good.  Laughter is healing.  Lighten up and find something that brings you laughter today.

I had great fun taking portraits of a friend yesterday.  The photo above was a small statue on the steps outside my friend’s house. It makes me laugh just to look at it.  I hope this photo brings a smile to your face too.

I also played with my macro lens yesterday and added a 12mm extension tube to my camera so that I could go really close-up on a flower. Of the 9 or 10 photos I took, only 1 was mostly in focus (see below).  Guess I need more practice. I think tomorrow will be another macro day.

The statue cracks me up too. Love the quote and the flower macro shot.
