A little photoshop magic (using Kim Klassen texture)

Yesterday was a day for still life play with flowers.  Ingredients: One $3.99 bouquet of flowers, one $2.49 begonia plant, a couple of vases, a piece of parchment paper, white cardboard, camera, lenses, and tripod.  Result – one happy photographer and a full day of play.

Since it was a nice overcast day, I could use my office window (which faces northeast) for a light source.  I taped a long piece of parchment paper to the window and draped it down over a sheet of white mat board propped up by books to a height above the window’s framing (see last photo below).  I then propped a piece of white foam board on the east side to act as a light reflector and placed my flowers on the parchment paper on the mat board. Voila!  A recipe for fun!
