Quote of the day: “ Now is the time to know that all that you do is sacred… Now is the time for you to deeply compute the impossibility that there is anything but grace.” – Hafiz

Ahhhh... Tea and Roses

Everything is grace. Doesn’t matter what it is, it’s all grace.  That’s how I figure it anyway.  I’ve spent the past two days getting incredible joy out of photographing flowers from a $3.99 bouquet of flowers from Trader Joe’s.  It’s not what I planned to do this week.  But it was perfect.

I am totally intrigued by the use of textures in photos (in case you hadn’t noticed).  I think I want to learn to make my own textures though, as it feels a little like cheating to use someone else’s.  And like all techniques and tools, I probably need to learn to use a lighter hand with textures, and choose when and where to use them.  Oh the possibilities!

Who knew when I began this week, that this was how I would spend it.  My mind had other plans, but my body and soul knew better.  It is all grace.  And sometimes I need to trip over it before I realize it.

What does your heart and soul long for this wild and precious day?  What would bring you joy and make your heart sing? What grace will you find in ordinary moments?
