Quote of the day: “There is no passion to be found playing small – in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living.” – Nelson Mandela
What do you get up for in the morning? What can you NOT do in your life? Is it something creative? Is it running or an athletic endeavor? Is it making music? Or sewing? Or photography? Or something else that makes you feel happy and fulfilled? My something has turned out to be a combination of photography, writing, cooking, being with friends and family. Everyone has something they love to do. How would the world be different if everyone was able to do something they loved every day? Imagine people around the world living with joy and passion and love.
I remember when my oldest daughter was very sick and we were afraid that she might not survive to adulthood. Each moment with her was beautiful and amazing and incredibly painful all at the same time — bittersweet. Life is like that, full of beauty and wonder and pain. Breath it all in. Let your heart break wide open. Experience it all. Our hearts are big enough to contain mountains of love and hope and pain and sorrow and still survive and thrive. Be present to what is in your life. Then carve out a few moments to do something YOU love today. Bring a little faith or hope or love to life.
Wishing you faith, hope love, today and always.
