Day 1 of 30 days of the Good, the Bright, and the Beautiful

Just read about this interesting global challenge from the Charter for Compassion to “inspire, develop, and celebrate our shared humanity through acts of generosity and compassion. What a wonderful way to inspire kids to become kinder and more compassionate.

Beginning on December 1st – a day known as Giving Tuesday – and going through December 11th, the Giving Games are played worldwide between students, teachers, staff and administrators to foster safe and fulfilling places of learning, supporting students develop into happy, compassionate, creative, and resilient members of our world! — Charter For Compassion email received 11/1/2015

Studies have shown that compassion can be learned. Can’t think of a better thing to teach our kids (and ourselves).
