Green Things Growing

It’s turned cold this week with below zero nights and very cold wind chills. Although there is not a lot of snow on the ground I am starting to long for spring and green things growing. In the springtime, I feel a vibration of green in the air and smell a scent that you could swear was the scent of the color green.

Here is a photo of Two Steps Falls at Tettagouche State Park with lots of green and liquid water (as opposed to the frozen lakes and rivers around here right now).

“Green is the soul of Spring. Summer may be dappled with yellow, Autumn with orange and Winter with white but Spring is drenched with the colour green.”
Paul F. Kortepeter, Tea with Victoria Rose
