Quote of the day: “A farmers market is kind of like a public square, and there is a nice social energy. There was a study done a couple years ago that found that people have 10 times as many conversations at the farmers market than they do at the supermarket.” — Michael Pollan

Mill City Farmers Market Last Year

I’m going to be selling photos, photo cards, magnets, and more at the Hopkins Farmers’ Market this Saturday, July 6, 7:30 AM to Noon.

Stop by and say “Hello” if you’re in the neighborhood!

I’ll be at the Hopkins Center for the Arts booth with another local artist.

It’s my first time selling at a farmers market.  But I think I’ll feel right at home there. I’ve been buying vegetables and fruits there for many years. I like to take the opportunity to buy local.

Unlike the Minneapolis Farmers Market which is large and crowded, the Hopkins Farmers Market is more like a small town market with just enough variety to let me find everything I want without the hassles of large crowds of people.

Since I’ve been going there for years, many of the vendors recognize my face and say “Hello” when I stop by, whether I buy something or not.

Here are photos of just a few of the items I’ll be selling at the market:

We are big, just like the city we serve.
