Quote of the day: “Earth teach me to forget myself as melted snow forgets its life. Earth teach me resignation as the leaves which die in the fall. Earth teach me courage as the tree which stands all alone. Earth teach me regeneration as the seed which rises in the spring.” ~ William Alexander

Waiting for spring

Yesterday was one of those perfect end-of-winter days when the smell of spring was in the air, the breeze was gentle, the sun bright, and all was right with the world.  I went for a walk at French Regional Park.

It was a day for kids on bikes, babies in strollers, runners in shorts, and snow melting everywhere. We have entered the in-between season, neither winter nor spring, but a promise of spring which brings a spring to our steps.  We know that winter is almost over and green things will soon grow with abandon!
